Welcome!

Green Futures is a non-profit educational and advocacy organization of people who share a concern for the protection of our shared environment.

All communities are entitled to clean air, clean water and sufficient open space for the continued presence of their indigenous wildlife and habitats.

Green Futures knows environmental stewardship leads to sustainable communities, stable economies and a healthy and productive life in harmony with nature.

We follow the axiom, “think global, act local”. We hope you do too.

Red Tail Hawk

The Red-tailed Hawk's main hunting technique is to sit on a perch and scan the surrounding area for prey. It is also known to hunt by flying back and forth over an area at a height of about 200 feet or less.

This Red tail (and his lunch) was seen in Fall River, MA in early spring. But we have seen them soaring overhead looking for rodents, small birds and, of course, squirrels during the winter months.
